Innovation Experience

Engaging diverse undergraduate students, faculty, and graduate students in open collaboration for the purpose of creating, elaborating, and prototyping innovative radical solutions to existing challenges, this opportunity is a paid internship that will take place over the 2023-2024 academic year, working approximately 6-8 hours per week. Adapted from the Public Achievement framework to focus on STEMM research and STEMM justice, students who engage in this experience will spend time in the fall semester researching cross-discipline opportunities to solve big problems and develop a research project or question. The image to the left is a visual of the fall semester process. In the spring semester, students will innovate and implement an action plan to further their knowledge and understanding more about their research project or question. The experience culminates with students reflecting on their learning, presenting their research to colleagues and community members, and celebrating the progress made during the academic year.
